- She’s very nice, capable and professional. She did Dark Lip Neutralization for my lips few weeks ago and I’m super happy with the result. My lips look fresh and so natural, never been this pretty without lipstick before. Highly recommended. Thank you so much love ❤️read moreread lessZohreh Izadikia10/17/2025She is kind, patient, professional, passionate and so talented. Not everyone can be technically skilled as she is, but also be able to adapt the technique to bring out the best of your features, pick colours that are right for you, perform colour corrections when needed, hide imperfections and truly blend art with beauty so well that you end up feeling more comfortable in your own skin! She follows infection prevention protocols perfectly, her salon is comfortable, clean and inviting, parking was easy, and the room private. She allows enough time for numbing creams to work instead of rushing you. I am sensory sensitive, and had very tough dry skin on my lips that slowed progress. She was so patient and in tune with me, constantly checking in, and even put up with me being a pain in the ass and changing colour later on, specially mixing one to suit my very pale skin, after I decided I no longer wanted natural but more of a pink. I’ve always had tiny lips, but as I’ve aged they also began to droop at the corners and it was becoming increasingly noticeable how uneven my lip line was, and wearing any colour meant the moment I pressed my lips together one side looked like I’d smudged it all outside the line. Which made me self conscious. She really listened to me and helped to define my lip line so that I am much happier and whilst I’m still due for another session, I’m so happy thus far. And after my lips healed, they stayed softer and no longer were dry and peeling all the time which has been just amazing. Medication I was on when I was younger led to my lips being cracked and sore and often bleeding or stinging for decades. After my second session, they peeled for ages which is why I need a colour top up, but stopped feeling tight and sore, no longer peel and it doesn’t look like my lipstick Is running- so I’m thrilled. She is also so reasonably priced. This takes time and care. She is absolutely worth every penny and some. And it’s such a scary decision to decide who to trust…I agonised for so long over who to go to. But her work won me over, looking at all the photos- she just nails it every time. So I’d highly recommend her!read moreread lessEmma-louise Lavelle9/16/2025I had always wanted to get a lip blush tattoo but was hesitant after hearing many negative comments—until I met Olha. She is not only an expert but also a true artist. She applied a topical anesthetic before working her magic, and to my surprise, I didn’t feel the slightest pain. When she finished, I couldn’t believe my eyes—my once pale lips had been beautifully transformed. Now, I no longer need to wear lipstick all the time or carry it with me everywhere I go. I feel more confident, and it’s all thanks to Olha and her incredible work!read moreread lessnimoj nimoji2/04/2025
- Laser lip tattoo removal I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I recently received. Olha demonstrated the utmost professionalism and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service. Her conscientious approach and empathetic demeanor were truly commendable. My first treatment was a total success! My dark purple lip, which I had endured over 10 years, has improved by more than 50%! I've just recently had my second treatment and it has now significantly improved by 80%. This is a work in progress, but I'm thrilled that there's finally a solution and a treatment to restore my lip colour back to its normal pink shade. Even after my first treatment, I felt more confident with people seeing my bare lips and no longer had to hide it with constantly applying lipsticks (even at home). Thank you Olha again for exceeding my expectations. 😘💞🌹read moreread lessFiona Vuong1/13/2025Laser lip tattoo removal I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service I recently received. - I am so so so happy I found Olha when I was googling cosmetic tattoo removal. I have had a botched lip tattoo for over 7 years hindering my confidence and wearing lipstick every day to cover it. Ive tried everything over the years to remove it. Most tattoo removal technicians turned me away and told me there was nothing they could do. Beauty technicians told me it was permanent. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on colour correction and nothing has worked. Olha has been the first technician to take me on and attempt removal with the lip saline tattoo removal technique and a patch test with laser removal. I’ve only had one session of saline removal and it has already faded the tattoo quite significantly. I am over the moon!! Olha’s knowledge, expertise and can-do attitude has made me feel so hopeful for the first time in 7 years. I can’t wait for the next few sessions. I’ll update this review and add some new photos of the progress. For now here is the result after one session. What is a Lipstick Tattoo?
Cosmetic lipstick lip tattooing is the process of depositing colour pigments into the dermis of the lips. This is usually done using a small needle, and the colouring pigment is placed in the uppermost layer of the skin. The effect of the lip tattoo will last for several months or years before it begins to fade.
There are different types of cosmetic lip tattooing: lip blush, dark lip neutralization, aquarelle technique, lip liner, lip shading, lipstick tattoo, and ombre lips. You can create various looks, from natural-looking lip colours to bold and dramatic designs.
A cosmetic lip tattoo with a full lipstick effect is an excellent solution for girls who want to give the impression that they are always wearing high-quality lipstick.
The Lipstick Effect: This Technique Can Give You Instant Fuller-Looking Lips
Lipstick smudges and fades, especially when you talk, eat, and drink. At some point, it gets tiring having to reapply makeup from time to time. The lipstick technique of lip tattooing solves this problem as special pigments are applied and can now stay on your lips for years.
It is a great way to add colour to your lips without worrying about smudging or wearing off. There are many different colours and shades of lipstick to choose from, so you can find the perfect shade to complement your skin tone.
Who is it best suited for?
This type of permanent make-up is perfect for anyone who wants to enhance their lips and cover up any imperfections. It works well for all ages, especially for those who love having fuller lips at all times.
How does a lipstick tattoo differ from other lip tattoo techniques?
You may have heard of the popular Lip Blushing technique. It is another permanent makeup tattoo that creates a beautiful and natural hue for the lips. You will love this technique if you are crazy about lip tints. Lip blush is perfect for those who want a more natural lip colour tattoo.
The lipstick technique differs from other lip tattooing options because it requires a more extensive pigment filling to achieve a richer effect. You can expect a more pronounced contour when you choose this technique.
In both techniques, permanent lip tattoo colours can be customised to the client’s wants.
What happens during procedure?
Lip Tattooing takes about two hours from start to finish. The treatment consists of four main steps:
- Consultation. The cosmetic tattooist will provide you with their recommendations for possible further treatment.
- Colour selection. The tattoo artist will help you find a lip tattoo colour that is perfect for your face and preferences.
- Sketching. Sketching is an essential step in the lip-lining process to avoid uneven lips. After cleaning the lips with an antiseptic, the artist will use a cosmetic pencil to draw the outer lip shape, outlining them in preparation for permanent lip colour application. Local anesthesia will be used if necessary.
- Shading. The next step involves filling the area with pigment and shading the lips completely. Lip colouring is repeated until the desired lip tattoo makeup is achieved.
After about a month, the client must return for necessary corrections. The artist will correct away imperfections and adjust the tone saturation to get it just right
What are the advantages of lipstick tattoos?
Here are the benefits of getting your lips tattooed:
- Long-lasting. The tattoo will last for one to three years before beginning to fade! It is a great idea to get this done if you want your lips permanently stained with colour.
- It covers your flaws. Many people get these to cover uneven pigmentation and to mask lip asymmetry, paleness, or scars.
- Tattooed lips enhance your beauty. A lip tattoo can give additional volume to your lips. It is also a perfect way to express yourself by using bold lip tattoo colours to make you stand out in a crowd.
- Low-maintenance. It is a great way to eliminate the need for constant lipstick application and makeup correction.
- Substantial savings. One of the best things about getting semi-permanent lip makeup on lips is that you save money by never needing to repurchase another lipstick!
- Affordable: Lipstick tattooing is more affordable than traditional cosmetic procedures, such as lip injections or surgery.
- Safe: Lipstick tattoos are considered safe by a licensed and experienced professional.
Healing process
Full lip tattooing can create a bold and stunning look. The healing process can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks, and the transformation is amazing! You may notice that in this period, the colour looks much more muted and natural than what the lips look right after the procedure. This is because 40-60% of the pigment will naturally fade during healing.
The photo shows how the pigment is now evenly distributed and can be seen on lips. Visually, the lip colour created by the tattoo looks the same as when you apply expensive lipstick.
The pigment still looks intense and freshly applied even a year after the semi-permanent lip tattoo procedure.
Aftercare tips
Lip tattooing damages the upper layer of the epidermis. It can cause swelling, minor pain, and redness after the procedure. But there is no need to worry!
After 2-3 days, the body will naturally restore skin integrity. During this period, the treated area will start to itch and peel. It would be best if you fought the urge to scratch. Remember that the skin must come off by itself.
Do not remove or touch the lip area while the skin is peeling. Why? To avoid crust formation on the skin around your lips. This will affect the final result of pigmentation and might even result in uneven lip colour. Worse, you might get scars from too much scratching.
The cosmetic tattoo artist will prescribe a disinfecting ointment for faster healing. Vaseline is usually used, which should be applied to the skin every 1-2 hours around 10 days.
It is also important to disinfect the area with Chlorhexidine and wash it with water and antibacterial soap.
The final result can be seen after a month. At about this time, you are advised to return to your lip tattoo specialist for a mandatory correction procedure.
- To extend the longevity of lip tattoos, we recommend the following:
- Don’t use cosmetics with high alcohol content or hydrogen peroxide.
- Avoid ultraviolet light. Use sunblock, a cap, and an umbrella when going out.
- Do not go to the swimming pool or sauna after the session.
- Don’t scratch the skin.
